Home & Family
Teenagers in Germany mostly live with their parents. The family lives in a house or in a flat. The average family consists of 2 adults and almost 2 children. Often the family has a garden or a balcony. A house looks like this:
In the first floor is a living room, a kitchen and a bath room. The second floor consists of a room for the parents and mostly rooms for childre
n and a bath room. But how does a German child´s room look like?
A typical children´s room looks like this: We have a bed, a wardrobe and a desk. And a lot of teenagers in Germany have an own computer ( I think about 50% ). And the rooms are mostly with a lot of colors for example our rooms are turquoise, green, rose and orange.

In the spare time (which is mostly at the week end) we make often something with our family together for example we go bowling or climbing.
But also teenager in Germany want to do something with their friends for example go to the cinema or we often go shopping in Hamburg because there it´s very beautiful and there are a lot of shops. ☺ ☺ ☺
And after the schools a lot of teenagers make their hobbies for example we dance, play football, go swimming or singing.
What are the roles of teenagers in your own home? And which chores you have to do ??
At my home I have to help! Always I must clear out the dishwasher, tidying up my room and sometimes make meals. But we also have a lot of privileges. Teenager from the age of 16 up can go to parties until midnight. As well we can travel without our parents if they agree. If you don´t have the money for travelling you can work from the age of 13 up. But then you can only make some easy jobs, for example you can deliver newspapers or to walk with dogs. But if you´re 15 you can work in you holidays for four weeks in full time!
A typical day
You get up at 6:15 -> then washing, eating , … ! Leaving the home at 7:15 and go to school which starts often at 7:50. Surely you have then lessons and lessons and lessons. ☺ We have between 6 and 8 lessons every day. The school finishes between 13:05 (only Friday) and 14:45! As next you go back at home and do homework. If you finish that you can make something you like. Hobbies, … ☺ I think you do that too !
Hi
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a weekday in Germany is mostly the same as in Denmark. But in Denmark I personally get up at 7:20/7:30 o'clock and our school starts at 8:15 am.
I have a question for you: how many hours are you doing homework every weekday?
We are really looking forward to see you in Denmark. We can get some really nice days :-)
See you!
Hey
ReplyDeleteI think it´s very different how long we usually do homework. At the week-end it is longer than in the week. During the week it´s 1 hour, I think. If I do the homework at the week-end then i do 2-3 hours. And you ? How long you do homework every day ??
