Teenagers' life in Italy

Look at the video! the following are the protagonists and the texts used in it. Enjoy the film! We are looking forward to meeting you in Nyborg!

Diego: The
Italian Way
of life! Isn’t it great? Pasta, Pizza. And wonderful places! Seems perfect!  But…What is Italy behind those things? Friends, you could see our beautiful country every day, but you’ll never see the true Italian life. Now we want to show you a typical day for an Italian teenager.
First of all the house:  For a middle class Italian the salary is about 1400 euros, equivalent to 1700 U.S. dollars, so we usually live in flat with four-five rooms. People who  live in the outskirts or in the countryside usually have a two floor house, even with a little garden in front of it.
And now, let’s have a look at a typical day of an Italian teenager

Albulena : Hi everyone, my name is Albulena , and I’ll show you the first part of the day: first of all we have fast breakfast, usually with milk or tea, some biscuits or cereals.
Then we go to school. Most of us use the public transports, like buses, but also many use scooters or cars. Here in Italy you could drive scooters when you are sixteen and cars when you are eighteen.
When we come back home from school we often have to cook lunch by ourselves , because many teenagers have both parents working all day. After lunch we have to do the washing up and clean the kitchen, because we have to help our parents if we want to go on well with them and have more freedom. We have to do several chores, for example charge the washing machine, clean our room, do the shopping, or something similar.

Beatrice: Hi my name is Beatrice. In the afternoon we usually study and do the homework for two, three hours a day. Sometimes, when we haven’t to study so much, in our spare time we stroll around the city with our friends, go shopping or meet in a bar to chat about every single thing passing in our head.
Most of parents give us a lot of freedom so we can go out on Saturday night to parties or to the disco and come back late, and do quite everything we want. The important thing is to spend the right time with our families and don’t do stupid things that could spoil the relationship with them. For us it is important to have good relationship with our parents because  it make us happy and quiet.

  3. Hello Beatrice!

It's a nice way that you live, go shopping, going to clubs, hang out with friends. In Denmark it is nearly the same, we also need to have a good relationship with our parents and make our homework. There are big diffrents in each family. On our school we have a lot of freedom. We don't have a lot of chores in the home. In my family I only clean my own room and I also help with cleaning the kitchen after dinner.

  5. I still can't get my mind off pasta and pizza Diego!
You're life doesn't seem so from different the one we're living.
Although it looks like to me that you have massive amounts of homework to fight with. My future is going to be tough I guess!

I'd like to toss out some credit for the video, I found it very informative.

Sir-like greetings from Gustav Wenzel Most, Nyborg Friskole, 8.b
